The President of Panther Integration ltd. is Daryll de Waal.
Daryll has been working in the fire alarm and life safety industry since 1996. He has worked for small, medium and large companies. He started out his career with a full service fire & security company (fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, monitoring and access control). From there he went to work as a technician for a major fire alarm manufacturer. His experience is the complete range of service and projects from small condominium apartment buildings to large networked complex fire alarm systems, which include hospitals, commercial, industrial, and various government (federal, provincial and municipal) buildings just to name a few. He developed a love for programming and gives much attention to detail.
After being a technician for many years, both in Ontario and Alberta, he went into project sales and then became an Account Manager where he broadened his experience to include security (access control and CCTV) and building automation. He was the main point for customer contact and was responsible for overall customer satisfaction as well as service contracts and solution proposals.
In addition to being a registered Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) technician since 1999, Daryll has been very involved since 2010 on the CFAA Executive Board (provincial and national). He served as Secretary then President of the Alberta Chapter and then from 2014 – present has served as Secretary on the National CFAA Board.
Daryll diligently strives to be always learning and current in his knowledge of the codes and standards. Over all, he loves a job well done, well documented with the focus on the safety of building occupants, building and asset protection and the customer to well informed, well served and code compliant.
He has been privileged and enjoyed the opportunity to work with and learn from so many great people in the industry, service providers and manufacturers, electrical contractors and many from the engineering community as well as those in municipal and provincial government.
